Dutch broadcaster NPO3 has ordered a factual entertainment format set in a restaurant from Banijay-owned local production company SimpelZodiak.

Table for Two (Tafel voor Twee) focuses on two people having dinner, where one of the guests in each episode has no idea why they have been invited.

The mystery guest in the 8×50’ series could be a loved one, long-lost friend or an ex-partner, who will have the chance to say something they have wanted to get off their chest.

Domino Effect travels to France

French broadcaster M6 has commissioned a local adaptation of competition format Domino Effect from Banijay-owned Endemol Shine France.

Domino Effect, originally developed by Endemol Shine North America in collaboration with YouTube domino star Lily Hevesh, was picked up for local adaptation by RTL4 in the Netherlands earlier this month.

The format sees pairs of domino builders compete to build the most creative and impressive domino structures, with one pair eliminated each week.

Banijay Confirms ‘Changing Rooms’ Comeback In Germany

Banijay announced that commercial broadcaster RTLZWEI ordered a four-part series of Changing Rooms for Germany.

Produced by Banijay Productions Germany, Changing Rooms follows two sets of homeowners as they race to renovate a room in each other’s houses. The home renovation format returns to Germany after 15 years.

Changing Rooms initially premiered in the U.K. in 1996. It has since been adapted in 12 markets. This year, the format also returns to U.K. on Channel 4, in a partnership with Dulux

Sweden’s TV4 orders Minnow format ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins” from Banijay’s Jarowskij

The eight-part remake is being produced by Banijay’s Swedish label Jarowskij and will see 18 civilian volunteers participate in a Special Forces training camp, supervised by four former instructors.

It was originally created by UK production company Minnow Films and has been produced in six markets to date, including the UK, US, France, and Australia, where a second season was recently commissioned. Banijay Rights sells the format globally.

Reality format “Big Brother” is returning to screens in the Netherlands, the country where it all started, with original broadcaster RTL after 14 years off air. It is being produced by Endemol Shine Netherlands.

The first ever episode of “Big Brother” aired in the Netherlands in September 1999, where it was created by Endemol founder John de Mol.

Poland’s TVN Discovery has commissioned a local version of entertainment format , making it the ninth territory to order an adaptation.
